Scottsboro and Fort Payne are included in this warning. You have to take this seriously. Most likely the tornado is passing between those two far edges of the polygon, but it can be hard to tell at night. Plus multiple circulations can develop in the same general area, part of the reason for the broad polygon. But it sounds like the confirmed tornado was near Section and Scottsboro. Interesting situations tonight. But let's continue to take them seriously and play things safe.
8:49 - West Point, Falkville, Baileyton, Arab, Union Grove, Joppa, Vinemont are included in this Severe Thunderstorm Warning, The city of Cullman is not. And of course down toward Hanceville, Bremen, Colony, nothing severe going on at the moment. There is rain moving through Cullman, but I think by this point tonight we'll all take a little rain over the really rough stuff.
8:52 - Now there is a pretty strong thunderstorm moving through Winston County - lots of lightning, wind gusts up to 40 mph, small hail up to about half an inch, about dime-sized. But that is below severe limits.
