10:01 PM - With the radar limitations and the time of night, plus a lot of warnings that overlap in the same basic area, this seems like the best way to do it. People can look at this and clearly tell if they are in the danger zone or not.
With the history of the storms tonight, I say: If you have a storm that concerns you, and there is any doubt in your mind as to whether or not you should take shelter, just go ahead and do it. Trust your gut. But even more so, if you can tell you are under a Tornado or Severe Thunderstorm Warning, then absolutely, go to your shelter and stay there.
10:03 PM - And wow, just as soon as I got that posted, it looks like the warning for Dekalb County has gone away. But this one for Cherokee County, I don't care if the rotation looks weak on radar. Take shelter anyway. This will be out of here soon. And I don't want anybody getting hurt here at the tail end of this event for North Alabama.

10:06 - Counties continue to be cleared from the Tornado Watch. Double Springs, Hamilton, Vernon, Hartselle, Decatur, Moulton, no more severe weather for you tonight.
10:08 - We've still got strong thunderstorms stretching from Northeast Cullman through Marshall, Southern Jackson, into Dekalb Counties. At this point, they are not severe. And this is the squall line. Once it clears you completely, no more severe weather tonight.
I don't think Cullman or Jasper are going to see any issues tonight. But the tornado watch is not yet cleared for Cullman and Walker Counties.
10:12 - In Cherokee County, especially between Cedar Bluff and Gaylesville, stay sheltered in this warning polygon. This is our only remaining Tornado Warning for right now. I hope it is the last one in North Alabama all night. But you have to watch things until you're sure. I learned that a long time ago.
10:14 - And here is the squall line. Behind it, no severe weather is expected. Tomorrow through Friday look like lovely days.
Unfortunately some people will be recovering from storm damage, including tornado damage, especially up there around Madison and North Huntsville. That looks like a pretty bad tornado that hit up there. And I am frankly nonplussed that I haven't come across any reports of injuries so far. If it stays that way, WOW. Always hope the warning process works, but something went really, really right if we get through this without anybody being hurt.
10:27 - As the rotation moves over into Georgia, Cherokee County is still under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning. So people there might want to still take precautions against damaging wind gusts and some hail.
10:36 - The tornado warning for Cherokee County has been cancelled since the tornado part of the storm has moved into Georgia.

10:37 - All we have at this point is a Flash Flood Warning for SE Madison Co that also affects Southern Jackson County, Northeast Dekalb County, and far Northern Marshall County.
And there is a river flood warning too in Madison County for mainly rivers, creeks, and streams. That's the green shading up there.
And the Tornado Watch has been cleared now for Walker and Winston and Fayette counties and points West.
The Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Cherokee County is even being allowed to expire on time.
10:43 - And now the Tornado Watch was just cancelled for Cullman, Marshall, and Jackson Counties. Also Dekalb County. All clear for these areas.
So I guess that's all clear for North Alabama then.
