Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Took a minute to get this posted because I think the lightning has knocked out the internet here for the moment. Going on mobile data.

But the city of Cullman is not included in this warning. It is for places like Bremen, Colony, Arkadelphia. Garden City, Dodge City, Bugtussle, Cold Springs, Brushy Pond.

4:17 AM - Velocity product showing some severe winds likely happening there in Southern Cullman County, in this warning polygon.

4:33 - This warning was allowed to expire on time.

The yellow polygon is our Severe Thunderstorm Warning which continues for much of Walker and for mainly Western Blount County. That warning also affects Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, which are to the South of the area I normally look out for when I can cover things on this blog.

The tan polygons are Special Weather Statements where the storms are producing gusty winds and maybe some smaller hail but are not up to severe criteria. So those are strong thunderstorms but are not believed to pose an immediate threat to life and property.
