Update - Severe Threat Diminished, High Winds Continue

The air is way too stable to support severe weather in North Alabama or up into Tennessee. However, the high winds continue to be a threat. Everybody should take reasonable precautions from high winds in general, which are gusting up to about 40 miles per hour, less than severe thunderstorm criteria. It could have been worse.

We still have to keep an eye on Monday's snow potential, as wintry precipitation could accumulate for many of us. Can iron out details after this system is on by.
