CONFIRMED TORNADO HUNTSVILLE

Even folks down in places like Brownsboro need to be sheltered and stay there. Cover your body, especially your head, as best you can. This tornado is confirmed. And it is not worth taking chances. The Huntsville office has taken shelter I believe. And it seems that the tornado may be climbing the mountain, ok also a debris signature on Governor's Drive.

9:35 - Here is a look at the debris ball.

9:37 - People downstream be prepared to seek shelter too. THIS TORNADO MAY BE DOING SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE.

And once again I know some people in the path. I bet a lot of you do too. Take a deep breath and let's all do the right things with this.

9:40 - The National Weather Service is now calling this a large and extremely dangerous, life-threatening tornado. And what a hook echo, what a velocity display. And that debris signature is still there. If you have a basement or storm shelter in the path of this, use it. If not, get into a small room on the lowest floor of a sturdy house (NOT a mobile home - get OUT of a mobile home ahead of this!), near the center, away from windows. And cover up - especially protect your head. If you have a helmet of some kind, put it on.

9:45 - Also remember we have a Tornado Warning for rotation east of Huntland in Franklin County, TN. The warning also includes Jackson County AL. In that polygon be sheltered as well. You can't wait on confirmation at night.

But everyone in the path of this coming out of Huntsville take your maximum precautions because this is a confirmed tornado that looks like it is doing very significant damage, very dangerous.

Let people know. Wake them up if they are in the path. This is another extremely serious situation like we saw earlier in Tennessee.

9:55 - Well I was going to post a radar update, guess I will, but know that a new Tornado Warning

Nevermind I'm just starting a new post. My folks are safe. Been a long night already.
