What a day.
Tomorrow looks sunny and breezy with a High near 80.
Basically the same for Thursday with a lighter breeze, morning Low near 58.
Then Friday looks like sunny skies again, High in the lower 70's, Low in the lower 50's.
A 20% chance of isolated rain or thunder comes back Saturday with a High near 80 again, Low in mid-50's.
Then we warm into mid-80's on Sunday with a 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms. Low should be 60 or so.
It looks like any severe thunderstorms will stay out in the Plains for this forecast period.
But rain and thunderstorms do look likely for Memorial Day, with a High near 80, Low in the mid-60's.
So I guess we'll keep our eyes peeled just in case of any stronger storms. But from what I remember looking at before, the pattern did not favor any organized severe weather like we saw today/tonight.
Then Tuesday, coverage of showers and storms should be a lot more widely scattered again, mix of sun and clouds, about a 30% chance of rain, High temperature back down in the 70's (probably mid-70's) and a Low near 60.
Now, do we dare to look at today's severe weather?
Well it's preliminary. And it's not the worst we've ever seen. It just felt like it sometimes. I don't think the Madison/Huntsville/Harvest tornado is even on these maps yet.
So basically . . . let's just wait for the storm surveys.
If that tornado was as strong as it looked in real time, and nobody got seriously injured, then things went as well as they possibly could today.
Good night.
