NOTES:
There was a small tornado track found in Franklin County, TN from yesterday’s thunderstorms. Those are rare in summer, and this thing only spun up for one minute. There were several other reports of thunderstorm wind damage as well as some flash flooding, some of which affected the Southbound part of Sparkman Drive on the campus of UAH.
The Alabama Weather Network is off to an excellent start, and I’d recommend checking that out if you haven’t already.
For anyone headed to the beach before summer is over, here is some information about staying safe from rip currents.
And while the tropics are quiet around here for the near future, here is some hurricane safety information that might come in handy later in the season for folks near the Gulf Coast.
DISCUSSION:
For that and the other really good stuff, you need to head on over to this blog's new home on Substack. Which allows for a lot more than this server does.
P.S. Just realized the links in the notes don't work over here either after I copied/pasted. So the good stuff is all on Substack these days.
P.P.S. Actually the links do work, they're just invisible until you hover over them. Live and learn.
