Severe T-Storm Warning

And another storm has gone severe up around Florence and Killen.

9:50 PM - Even though these are "only" severe thunderstorm warnings tonight, I would respect them.

Thanks to the Spann-man for passing this along, some damage at Vina High School tonight, fortunately when nobody's there, but this was almost surely straight-line wind damage. So I wouldn't sneeze at it. If you get a severe thunderstorm warning, a tree could still come down on your home, or a window could break out. It is better to play it safe and get away from windows, preferably in the lowest, most central part of the house. Or at least in a hallway.

10:01 PM - This has been trimmed back to a very small part of Lauderdale County. The storm that was up around Spring Hill and Brentwood in Tennessee that you may have noticed, weakened, no longer severe.

10:09 - Oh man, that Indian Lake tornado damage is looking bad.

No big severe weather outbreak around here, but a few isolated storms tonight into tomorrow could reach severe limits and produce some wind damage, like I also saw some more pictures of Vina where trees were blown down in the road. That's another thing to be careful about, driving to work or if you have to drive for work overnight. Trees can fall in the road and are hard to see before you run up on them sometimes. So please exercise caution even though this is a lower-end severe thunderstorm threat in our parts.

10:13 - Ugh, also a trailer park hit in Winchester, Indiana with at least three people killed. We're going to hear some sad stories the next few days from this event.
