Tornado Warning



2:39 AM - Going to show the wide view again. 


And Jackson County EMA reports a tree down near Skyline. This possible tornado is near Stevenson in Jackson County and moving East. 

2:42 - Just by the way, those storms moving into Chattanooga and Northern Georgia, even though they are severe thunderstorm warnings, they carry a "tornado possible" tag. There has been enough weak rotation, and the environment is favorable for a tornado being able to quickly develop.

The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has issued a


* Tornado Warning for...

  Northeastern Jackson County in northeastern Alabama...


* Until 315 AM CDT.


* At 227 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located near Skyline, or 12 miles north of Scottsboro, moving

  east at 30 mph.


  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.


  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.


  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.


* This dangerous storm will be near...

  Stevenson around 245 AM CDT.


Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Fabius

and Fackler.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...


TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest

floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
