Tornado Warning

And these warnings are popping fast as they can do with squall lines. Decatur is included in a separate polygon, but I'm covering them together in this post since they are in the same basic area. And too many posts of separate tornado warnings will just confuse readers who would rather see updates as the line moves along with only an occasional new post.

11:34 PM - Broadcast media passed along a report of power lines down in Hamilton when the storms moved through there.

People in Madison County, be getting ready to go to a safe place if a Tornado Warning is required for you later, within the next 30-45 minutes or so - or even a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

Decatur, Tanner, and Madison, go ahead and be in shelter.

11:41 PM - Just got a severe thunderstorm warning that includes all of Winston County. I'd go ahead and take reasonable precautions for this too, since the straight-line winds can be dangerous too, not just possible tornadoes.

11:45 PM - Note from SPC about how the severe weather continues, and unfortunately places like Cullman and Huntsville are in that zone where over next hour or two, severe weather threat is highest.

I'm probably going to start a new post either at Midnight or whenever this warning expires. After midnight seems like a good time to reset since technically we'll be into Sunday morning then.

11:48 - Winston, Walker, Tuscaloosa, Pickens, Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Limestone, Lawrence, and Morgan Counties are all under Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in addition to these Tornado Warnings that include cities like Decatur and Athens.

We're not getting widespread wind damage reports with this line, but we have gotten some. And it's really a gamble if you opt not to take shelter for these warnings. A tree could come down, or a window could blow out. And it's better to get into that lowest, most central part of your home, away from windows.

11:52 - Decatur, Trinity, Tanner, Madison, stay in shelter for this possible tornado.

Everyone in these warning polygons need to stay in shelter until the warning expires.

Giles and Lawrence Counties in Tennessee are also under severe thunderstorm warnings.

Folks in Athens need to stay in shelter from a possible tornado here.

For the stuff farther South, Wes Wyatt and Lauren Linahan are doing a live stream.

TORNADO WARNING INCLUDES HUNTSVILLE
