Flash Flood Warning

So anybody who's out this Sunday afternoon needs to avoid crossing any water that covers a roadway. Emergency management has reported this, not just based on radar.

The tan boxes you see are Special Weather Statements where storms are not at severe levels but are still producing some gusty winds or in some cases some small hail. They are not considered to be a direct threat to life and property but are strong thunderstorms. Flash flooding, even when it happens sort of at random like this in a summer storm, can be a threat to life if people try to cross flooded roads. And this does include Cullman, West Point, Good Hope, South Vinemont, up to Holly Pond. So people in or near those areas need to be careful driving and if you see water over the road, stop and turn around.
